CHESTER, Pa. - Widener Field Hockey was knocked off by Stockton University by a final score of 5-0 at Edith R. Dixon Field.

With the loss, Widener's record moves to 2-4 on the season.

BY THE NUMBERS

• Widener attempted seven shots to Stockton's 36. 
• Emma Korenthal made eight saves in goal for the Pride.
• Annabella Cenci lead the team with two shots on goal.
• Talia Nichols, Kayden Geiter and Maliah Gonzales each recorded a defensive save.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Ospreys got on the board towards the end of the first period. Korenthal made four saves and the second period would start with Widener trailing by just one. Two minutes into the frame, Stockton converted on a penalty stroke to double their lead. The Ospreys would take a third goal on at the 28:11 minute mark to take a commanding 3-0 lead into halftime.
• Stockton scored their fourth goal of the game at the 36:52 mark in the third period before tacking on their final goal in the fourth period with just over five minutes left in the game.

The Pride will look to regroup when they take on Montclair State at Dixon Field on Saturday, Sept. 26. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
