CHESTER, Pa. – Women's Soccer celebrated Senior Day with a 1-0 victory over Wilkes University on Saturday afternoon, as
Reilly Klein's second-half goal proved to be the difference.
The Pride improve to 4-2-1 on the season.

- Araba Abanyie made nine saves to record her third shutout of the season.
- Widener recorded 10 shots, with five finding the frame, while Wilkes put nine of its 14 shots on target.
- Reilly Klein scored the lone goal of the match in the 67th minute to give the Pride the lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wilkes came out with early pressure, forcing Abanyie to make four saves within the opening 16 minutes. Kiely Morley, Hannah Dennison and Erin Edwards each tested the Widener goalkeeper, while the Pride's first shot on goal came in the 29th minute when Charlotte Burke's attempt was saved by Delaney Yaracs. Abanyie continued to keep the Pride level, making another save on Ava Young in the 40th minute to send the teams into halftime scoreless.
- Widener came out attacking in the second half, with Burke recording a shot just 30 seconds into the period. After Allison Gomez put two shots toward the frame, Klein found the back of the net in the 67th minute to give the Pride a 1-0 advantage. Wilkes continued to create opportunities late, but Abanyie turned away shots from Young and Edwards to preserve the lead. Widener also created chances of its own in the final minutes, with Klein and Burke testing Yaracs, but the Pride's defense held strong to secure the 1-0 Senior Day victory.
