CHESTER, Pa. - In their final games of the year, Widener couldn't overcome Eastern's pitching in game one and a big offensive performance in game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
Eastern and Widener traded scoreless frames through the first two innings, with both pitching staffs settling in early and limiting traffic on the bases.
Eastern broke through in the top of the third, using a solo home run to take a 1-0 lead and grab early momentum.
Widener threatened in the bottom half of the fourth after a leadoff single from Ferraro and moving a runner to third, but the Pride were unable to capitalize and left the tying run stranded.
The Eagles added to their lead in the fifth, stringing together timely hits and taking advantage of situational play to extend the advantage to 3-0.
Widener again put runners on in the fifth behind hits from Gomez and Hernandez, but Eastern's pitching held firm to keep the Pride off the board.
Eastern created separation in the seventh inning, capitalizing on defensive miscues and delivering multiple RBI hits to plate three more runs and extend the lead to 6-0.
Widener managed a leadoff single in the bottom of the seventh, but could not mount a late comeback as Eastern secured the shutout victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
Widener jumped out to an early lead in the first inning, capitalizing on aggressive baserunning and a key RBI single from Gomez to take a 2-0 advantage.
Eastern responded in the second, cutting into the lead with a run following a double and a baserunning play to make it 2-1.
Both teams settled in over the next few innings, with Widener holding the 2-1 lead behind steady defense and limiting Eastern's opportunities.
The game shifted in the sixth inning, when Eastern capitalized on walks, errors, and timely extra-base hits to erupt for six runs and take a commanding 7-2 lead.
Eastern added to its advantage in the seventh, using a combination of hits and defensive miscues to extend the lead to 10-2.
Widener showed fight in the bottom of the seventh, as Mayorga, Hernandez, and Ferraro strung together hits, with Ferraro driving in a run on a double and Tong adding an RBI groundout to cut the deficit to 10-4.
The late push would not be enough, as Eastern closed out the game to secure the doubleheader sweep.
