CHESTER, Pa. – Widener Women's Track and Field see a plethora of new top 100 times and marks in the nation after a successful Paul Donahue Invitational.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON FRIDAY
Friday evening opened with
Loralei Golembiewski placing seventh in the 5000-meter after her 17:49.21.
Kathryn Long would clock a 17:56.26 to place 11
th.
Gabby Nye took fifth in the 1500-meter for a personal best and Widener record. Nye would throwdown a 4:27.27 to move into the top 10 in the nation.
In the field,
Aisosa Washington threw a 31.12-meter discus and a 10.83-meter shot put.
Heron Gaudet tied for 11
th with a 10.91-meter shot put.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON SATURDAY
Jayla Gore,
Tirzah Simmons,
Zahara Simmons, and
Ziraya Snowden would clock a 49.64 4x100-meter relay time.
Long showed a 4:50.35 in the 1500-meter.
Z. Simmons would run a 16.08 100-meter hurdles alongside
Sydni Bell who clocked a 17.68.
In the 400-meter,
Alyssa Kolimaga led the group with a 1:02.26.
Veronica Ashcraft (1:02.49) and
Allyson Hakes (1:03.34) would follow close behind.
A quick 100-meter sprint would place Snowden at 12.75 and Gore at a 12.94.
Nye moved herself into the top 75 in the nation in the 800-meter with a personal best of 2:14.81.
To cap off the track portion, Ashcraft,
Katelyn Fox, Kolimaga, and Hakes clocked a 4:14.44 in the 4x400-meter relay.
Isabel Rodriguez moved into the top 50 after her 50.33-meter hammer throw. Rodriguez placed second overall.
T. Simmons snuck herself into the top 100 with a 5.39-meter long jump. Mia Flemming marked a 5.25-meter distance.

Widener heads into a split weekend in Philadelphia for Penn Relays and Bethlehem, Pa. for the Covert Classic. Penn Relays is set to begin on Thursday, April 23 while the Covert Classic begins on Friday, April 24.
