Personal Bests Fly at Split Men's Track & Field Weekend

EWING, Pa. & PISCATAWAY, N.J. – A split weekend at Rutgers Relays and TCNJ Invite & Multi show a plethora of Widener Men's Track & Field personal bests ahead of the Paul Donahue Invitational.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED AT RUTGERS RELAYS
 
In the 100-meter dash Erastus Ndirangu would clock an 11.25 while Tyler Ressler sprinted to an 11.41.
 
Ressler's afternoon continued with a 22.49 in the 200-meter. Elijah Celestin saw a personal best 22.62 and Ndirangu clocked a 22.84.
 
In the field Jacob Grossman marked a 6.85-meter long while while Matayo McGraw jumped a 6.76-meter distance. Jack Csensits saw a 4.85-meter distance.
 
McGraw won the triple jump with a 14.91-meter mark. Grossman saw a13.78-meter mark.
 
Celestin, Celestin, Csensits, and Ndirangu took sixth in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 42.90.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED AT TCNJ INVITE & MULTI
 
On day two of the 3000-meter steeplechase Isaiah Brewer clocked a 10:57.56.
 
John Kodack took second in the hammer throw with a 50.84-meter distance while Kevin Williams placed fourth with his 42.30-meter toss.
 
On the final day of competition David Abbey paced to a 4:07.18 1500-meter. Michael Carolan would clock a 4:14.23.
 
Alexander Szymanik's 100-meter showed an 11.41 while Brandon Catherine (11.62), Xaiver High (11.69) and Kemahni Wimberly (11.80) all followed close behind.
 
Xavier Nesbeth ran a personal best 400-meter with a final time of 51.24.
 
David Johnson clocked a personal best 800-meter with a 1:56.98 to place second overall. Ashton Ray took 15th with a 2:03.67 and a new season best.
 
The 400-meter hurdles showcased Tirsten Silverstein with a 1:03.85 final time.
 
High wrapped up competition in the 200-meter with a time of 23.65.
 
Szymanik would jump in the high jump where he would mark a 1.65-meter height.
 
Aiden Wilson (4.00-meters), Sean Gizzi (4.00-meters), and Brennan Pringle (3.55-meters) would all take on the pole vault.
 
Troy Wallace marked a 6.28-meter long jump.
 
UP NEXT
Widener gets set to host the annual Paul Donahue Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 17-18 at Hansell Track.
