READING, Pa. – Widener men's track and field place third at MAC Championships with three on the All-Conference team.
The Pride would score 85 team points and place 3
rd of 15 teams.

DAY 1 – FRIDAY (44 Total Points | 2nd Place)
To open the weekend,
Gavin Kelly,
Derek Rudd,
David Johnson, and
David Abbey took sixth in the 4000-meter DMR with a final time of 10:41.69.
Troy Wallace qualified for finals in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.93.
A 6.98 from
Jack Csensits and a 7.06 from
Erastus Ndirangu would earn them spots in Saturday's finals.
Patrick Lamb placed 24
th with a 7.26.
Senior
Zach Rementer took seventh in the 5000-meter run to earn two points. Rementer clocked a 15:23.94.
Elijah Celestin, Lamb, Ndirangu, and Ressler took seventh in the 4x200-meter relay. The quad ran in a 1:33.55 final time.
Matayo McGraw won the high jump to earn 10 points with a 1.97-meter height. Csensits placed 18
th with a 1.68-meter height.
A fifth-place finish in the pole vault came from
Alexander Szymanik as he marked a 3.94-meter height.
Aidan Wilson finished with a 3.94-meter height.
Brennan Pringle would also hold the same height as Wilson.
Csensits captured his first title in the long jump with a 7.10-meter mark. McGraw took second and marked a 7.01-meter distance.
Jacob Grossman took fourth with a 6.84-meter distance. Wallace marked a 6.50-meter jump to place 10
th.
Kevin Williams just fell out of scoring with a 14.45-meter mark in the weight throw.
John Kodack would throw a 14.38-meter distance while
David Fuhrman snagged a 13.70-meter mark.
Ashton Brown rounded out the weight thrower group with a 13.39-meter toss.
DAY 2 – SATURDAY (85 Total Points | 3rd Place)
The mile showed
David Abbey taking sixth with a final time of 4:24.54 to earn three points.
In the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, Wallace would take sixth with a 8.79.
Celestin snuck into scoring with his 51.36 to take sixth.
Derek Rudd sprinted to a 52.99 while
Xavier Nesbeth clocked a 53.15.
Finals in the 60-meter dash held two Pride runners with Csensits leading to take fifth with a 7.07. Ndirangu clocked a 7.09.
David Johnson's 800-meter run showed a fourth place finish with a final time of 1:57.10.
Ressler took 12
th in the 200-meter dash with a 23.21 to lead Ndirangu who finished with a 23.25.
Zach Rementer snuck into the top 8 with his 8:53.12 to pick up a team point.
The final two track events showed
Michael Carolan,
Sean Derfler,
Ashton Ray, and
Gavin Kelly running a 8:23.42 in the 4x800-meter relay.
In the 4x400-meter relay, the quad of Nesbeth, Johnson, Rudd, and Ressler picked up an All-Conference award with their second place. The four clocked a 3:29.06.
McGraw wrapped up his meet with a gold in the triple jump of 14.79-meters. Grossman placed sixth with a 13.55-meter jump on his fourth attempt.
The shot put featured David Furhman who placed 19
th with a 12.14-meter mark on his final attempt.
