GALLOWAY, N.J. – Widener Men's Basketball relies on the bench with 53 points against an agressive Stockton squad.
The 106-64 loss moves the Pride to 2-8 in the regular season.
BY THE NUMBERS
- From the bench, Connor Schumacher led with a dozen points for a season high.
- Emmett Kane would hold a block and a steal in three minutes.
- The Pride would shoot 34.4% from the field, 25% from three, and hold 53 points from the bench.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kane started the game with a block to allow Jay-Nelly Reyes to put in two from the charity stripe. Myles Bright put in a jumper before the Ospreys got on the board. Kane picked up his steal to give Reyes the first triple of the game at 17:17. The Ospreys would find an offense as they went on a 15-0 run before Kori Segich broke the streak. Jacob Aryee made two from the stripe. The Ospreys took another run while Jayden Lawrence made a fastbreak jumper and Namisse Musonge hit a triple. Jeremy Hanton saw his first points with 1:30 left as the Pride went into the locker room down 57-23.
- Out of half, Musonge scored first with two from the line. TJ Byson hit a jumper at 17:53 just before another Osprey run. Schumacher tipped in his own layup at 16:41 to cut into the lead. A back-and-forth scoring game would emerge as Bryson's jumper hit with 13:19 left. Hanton drained five quick points before Schumacher had three of his own. Drew Harvey and Bryson hit back-to-back triples with under half remaining. Hanton dished Bryson a nice ball to find a three. Keith Gee pushed the Pride above 60 points while Schumacher finished the day with a tipin as the Pride fell 106-64.
