HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pride came out with a lot of energy to start this match, putting three shots on goal within the first 15 minutes but were unable to connect. The Garnet would counter back with some shots of their own, but Tristan Willey and the Pride defense were able to step up and not allow the Garnet to take the lead. Widener would take a few more shots right before the end of the half but once again were unable to connect. The game would go into half locked in a 0-0 tie.
- As the rain started to fall on Hirschmann field, the defenses continued to be the story of this game. After a back and forth 40 minutes, the Garnet were able to score a late goal with a header to take a 1-0 lead. With little time remaining, the Pride were unable to answer and would lose by a final score of 1-0.
