CHESTER, Pa. - Widener Men's Soccer suffered their first loss of the 2025 season after a turbulent second half against the Gettysburg College Bullets.
The Pride are now 0-1-0 on the season and 0-0 in conference play.
BY THE NUMBERS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bullets did not look rusty in their first game of the 2025 season, scoring an early goal at the 14:09 mark. The Pride settled in after taking an early blow, not allowing Gettysburg to score again in the first half. Jordi Lopez tried to tie the ball game at the 31:55 mark but was unable to convert. The game would go into the half with the Bullets maintaining a 1-0 lead.
- Gettysburg came out of the locker room ready to go, taking a 2-0 lead at the 48:26 mark. The Bullets would add on to their lead with their third goal of the night at 61:01. Widener continued to fight despite the mounting deficit, but Gettysburg would ultimately score two more goals to take home a 5-0 win over the Pride.
