CHESTER, Pa. –
Kathryn Long marks a new Widener record in the day of the Danny Curran Invitational to kickoff the outdoor season.
FRIDAY
In the 10k, Long led the way with a 37:35.15 to set a new Widener record. Liz Egan would place 20
th with a 41:29.65.
Adeline Kraics threw a 34.51-meter throw in the discus while
Isabel Rodriguez marked a 32.14-meter toss. Kraics continued in the shot put where she threw 9.70-meters.
Kayla Robinson continued her triple jump dominance with a 12.05-meter jump.
SATURDAY
The 1500-meter run would show
Loralei Golembiewski and
Jaden Sweely both clocking in 5:00. Golembiewski ran a 5:00.68 and Sweely a 5:00.78.
Zahara Simmons clocked a 15.97 in the 100-meter hurdles while
Sydni Bell ran a 16.60.
A packed 100-meter dash would be led by
Maria Muzzarelli as she took second with a 12.27.
Golembiewski and Sweely competed again in the 800-meter where Golembiewski led with a 2:25.83. Sweely clocked a 2:26.42 and
Emma Schultz ran in a 2:27.41.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Elise Daniel clocked a 1:10.20.
Robinson set a new personal best 25.13 in the 200-meter dash. Muzzarelli took eighth with a 25:29. Robinson continued her weekend with a 5.65-meter jump in the long jump to take second.
Rodriguez marked a 49.22-meter toss in the hammer throw while
Jillian Walker threw a 39.37-meter distance.
