ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – A new season high 24 points for
Jacob Aryee aids in the second win over Eastern this campaign.
The close 79-72 win moves the Pride to 6-14 in the regular season and 4-5 in the MAC Commonwealth.
BY THE NUMBERS
- First year Jacob Aryee saw a new season high 24 points in 29 minutes.
- Kevin Schenk would dish six assists out and put in 10 points.
- Defensively, Matt Daulerio had four blocks and Jay-Nelly Reyes saw four steals.
- The Pride shot 44.3% from the floor, 39.1% from three, and capitalized on points in the paint with 42.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- A high scoring first couple minutes would be started with Aryee putting in a layup. Myles Bright hit a layup after a quick 30 second Pride timeout. Daulerio threw up a block to start his party to continue the in the paint trend. Ayree's fastbreak triple cut the Eagles lead to five. At 11:25, Ethan Dodson would put back a missed shot to add two for the Pride. Daulerio sunk a triple and Reyes saw a layup. The score was 22-18 Eagles. To head into the locker rooms, Dodson hit a layup to end down 39-32.
- The Pride came out hot in the second with a fast 10-0 run to take the lead. Back-to-back triples helped bring the score down and Daulerio's charity stripe shot gave the Pride their first lead of the game. Another run, this time an 8-0, run would again take the lead back with a Bright triple. Aryee's layup and Reyes' triple extended the Pride lead to seven. Bright poked a ball lose to give Reyes a layup to make the lead double-digits. The Eagles began to cut the lead back with a 9-0 run of their own but seven points from Aryee would quiet the attacking enemy. Bright ended the game with a pair from the stripe to give the Pride a 79-72 win.
