CHESTER, Pa. – Sophomore Zach Degado aids in 86 Widener Men's Swimming total points in a loss to Ursinus in the Schwartz Athletic Center.
The 117-86 loss puts the Pride at 3-2 in the regular season and 3-0 in conference meets.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Bryce Garber,
Michael Machristie,
Adam Bailey, and
Zach Delgado took second to open the meet in the 200-yard medley relay. The four would register a 1:43.49.
The first individual event,
Sean Lehan took first with a six second win as he touched in 10:10.54. Lehan would lead the 1-3 finish alongside Machristie as he hit the pad in a 11:26.65.
First year Colin Ergood took second in the 200-yard free with a 1:55.27.
A fast 50-yard free showed
Naveen Boggi taking second with a 23.18 before
Adam Bailey took first in the 400-yard individual medley. Bailey would win by almost nine seconds with a 4:35.61.
Ergood's racing continued with a third place in the 100-yard butterfly as he clocked a 55.78.
Delgado's 100-yard free showed a 51.95 to lead first year
John Halloran to a 53.95.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Garber raced to a 1:00.52.
Lehan's second individual event showed his second win as he took the 500-yard free in a 4:52.55. Bailey would take third with a 5:20.55.
Machristie swam in a 1:01.68 to split the Bears before the final event of the afternoon.
The Pride took a 1-2 finish in the 200-yard free relay to cap off racing. Boggi,
Marcus Moreef, Seth Philips, and Garber took first with a 1:33.36 while
Noah Fedo, Ergood, Halloran, and
Benjamin Holub took second with a 1:36.93.
