CHESTER, Pa. - Nine total sets bow to Widener Women's Volleyball with a 3-2 win over King's and a 3-1 win over Susquehanna.
The Pride Widener improves to .500 with a record of 9–9 on the year and stays unbeaten in conference at 2–0.

The Pride battled throughout the opening set, showcasing strong play from Airyn Zimmerman to start the scoring and steady contributions from Azira Benjamin, Kramer, and Mira Canali on the attack. Chronister kept the offense moving with precise sets, while Meghan Prior, Julia Schwab, and Kristen Vacca provided sparks. Despite the Pride's effort, King's capitalized to take the set, 25–16.

Widener stormed back in the second set with dominant offense and control from start to finish. Chronister set the tone early, leading the Pride to an 8–0 start with assists to Zimmerman, Gabriella Bottino, and Benjamin. The trio kept the attack rolling, while Kramer and Canali added key plays to extend the lead. With steady defense and efficient hitting, the Pride closed out the set 25–16 to even the match at one apiece.

The Pride battled hard in the third set, keeping pace with the Lions through much of the frame thanks to strong kills from Bottino, Benjamin, Kramer, and Zimmerman. Chronister continued to guide the offense efficiently, and Prior provided key points to keep the Pride within striking distance. Despite a strong effort, Widener couldn't hold off a late push from the Lions, dropping the set 25–21.

Widener responded in the fourth set, behind strong serving from Kramer, who notched multiple aces, and clutch kills from Benjamin, Zimmerman, and Bottino, as the Pride kept control of the momentum. Chronister and Prior continued to orchestrate the offense, spreading the ball effectively to keep King's off balance. A late ace from Chronister sealed the deal as Widener took the set 25–19 to force a decisive fifth frame.

The Pride entered the decisive fifth set with energy, taking control early and maintaining their edge to secure the match victory. Kramer and Bottino sparked the offense with strong attacks, while Chronister continued to set the tone with precise assists and a clutch service ace. Benjamin, Canali, and Zimmerman added key kills that kept the Pride in front. Widener closed out the set 15–11 to complete the comeback and claim the win over King's.

- Bottino led after four sets with 21 kills.
- Chronister held 23 assists with Prior adding 21.
- On the defensive side, Barnes registered 34 digs.
- The Pride totaled eight team blocks and out dug the River Hawks 87-65.

A Zimmerman and Benjamin double block gave the Pride a 3-0 lead in set three which began a back-and-forth rally. The block party continued with a block from Zimmerman and Canali later on in the set. A 7-0 run extended the Pride lead to 15-3 before the River Hawks answered. Canali, Kramer, and a Prior service ace gave the Blue and Gold a 25-10 win in set three.

The momentum continued in set four with a 5-0 hot start. Benjamin added a kill from Barnes before the River Hawks made a 5-0 run. A River Hawks attack error gave the Pride double digits. Chronister registered two service aces making the score 16-15. A back-and-forth point stretch made the set neck and neck but the Pride prevailed with a Prior, Bottino, and Benjamin kill to end with a match score of 3-1 and a set score of 25-23.
