CHESTER, Pa. - Widener Women's Volleyball extends its win streak to eight matches with a commanding 3–0 sweep over Albright.
Widener improves to 10–9 on the year and stays unbeaten in conference at 3–0.

The Pride came out strong in the opening set, quickly finding rhythm. Julia Schwab, Bottino, and Kristen Vacca fueled the Pride's early momentum, combining for multiple kills and a service ace to push Widener ahead 7–3. Barnes added an ace of her own as the Pride extended their lead to double digits. Campbell Chronister's serving run and a key block from Azira Benjamin and Airyn Zimmerman helped Widener dominate the middle portion of the set. Despite a late push from the Lions, Widener remained in control, closing out the frame 25–13 to take a 1–0 match lead.

Widener kept its momentum rolling in the second set. Benjamin, Schwab, and Chronister sparked the Pride's attack, while setter Mary Carter distributed the ball efficiently to keep Albright's defense guessing. Mira Canali, Zimmerman, Vacca, and Benjamin added key kills and combined for multiple blocks to widen the gap midway through the set. A pair of service aces from Carter and another from Zimmerman helped the Pride pull away late, and Gabriela Santell sealed the frame with an ace as Widener cruised to a 25–12 win and a 2–0 match lead.

The Pride closed out the match in style with a commanding third set. Zimmerman and Benjamin provided strong attacks, while Chronister orchestrated the offense with precision setting. Kaitlyn Guessford and Bottino came through with multiple key kills down the stretch, and Barnes contributed solid defense and court coverage to maintain the Pride's advantage. Despite a few early errors from both sides, Widener pulled away in the second half of the set and sealed the 25–12 win, completing a 3–0 sweep over Albright.
