COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Widener Women's Basketball starts hot back from break, grabbing a 70-65 win over the Ursinus Bears.
The Pride (currently 6-4) and remain 0-0 in conference play.

Kimberly Casiello would get things going for the Pride, grabbing a steal then assisting the ball to Lindsay Kutz on the fastbreak as Widener would score first in the game. Riley Stackhouse and Mia Robbins would find the bottom of the net with their jump shots, and another Kutz bucket would put the Pride up 13-10. The quarter would end with a pair of threes for Kaitlyn Kearney as Widener would hold a 21-15 lead after a quarter of play.

Kutz and Robbins would dominate in the third quarter, scoring eight of the first ten points for Widener in the quarter. The Bears would also have a strong quarter, catching fire behind the arc, but Baer's five straight points and two Kutz free throws would keep the lead at 55-48 after three.
