MAHWAH, N.J. – Dual meet win streak advances to four as
Sally Meyers and Widener Women's Swimming end the season with a win over Ramapo and Cedar Crest.
The Pride would down the Roadrunners 155-105 to go 6-4 in the regular season and end 5-1 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
To open the meet
Sophia Sapnas,
Hailey Webster,
Sally Meyers, and
Megan Shallow would take first with a 1:56.85 in the 200-yard medley relay.
Lauren Kalsbeek led in the 1000-yard freestyle with an 11:16.40 to win by two seconds.
Meyers' first individual win came in the 200-yard freestyle with a 2:04.98 which would be good enough for a three second win.
Olivia Giambalvo took third with a 2:08.48.
Megan Shallow took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:04.11, a new personal best. Sapnas took third with a 1:05.85.
In the 200-yard butterfly, Meyers would win again by three seconds with a 2:19.33.
Kaitlyn Fahy snuk into third with a 2:30.36.
The quick 50-yard freestyle would bow to Kalsbeek as she took first with a 25.84.
Shallow continued her streaks with a 56.84 in the 100-yard freestyle.
Gabby DiGiovanni would give the Pride some points and go 59.78.
Sapnas would just miss the first in the 200-yard backstroke where she touched for the wall in a 2:20.96. Fahy took fourth with a 2:29.29 and
Kylie Rodi touched with a 2:29.59.
First years shined in the 200-yard breaststroke as
Olivia Barclay took second with a 2:42.94 and
Emily Thompson touched third with a 2:50.69.
Meyers final individual event came in the 500-yard freestyle as she clocked in a 5:34.52 to average 34 seconds per 50 yards swum.
Kalsbeek followed suit with a third individual win in the 200-yard individual medley. She would touch in a 2:24.26.
The final event would show a first in the 200-yard freestyle relay as Webster,
Olivia Giambalvo,
Caroline Anderson, and Shallow took home a 1:45.68.

Widener heads to the 2025 MAC Championships slated for Feb. 13-16 at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa. Preliminaries will begin around 9 a.m. and finals will commence around 6 p.m.
