Both teams would come out strong as the score was tied at 3 and neither group would gain a lead. The Shorewomen would go on two three-point runs to take a strong lead, but a five straight run from the Pride would see them regain the lead at 20-19. Herrin would have two kills in that run, and Alex Verchio would be the x-factor in a four-point run as Widener would take a 24-21 lead. The wheels would fall off then, as a 0-5 Shorewoman run would have them come back and win 24-26.Â
-
The Pride would roar to an 11-1 lead early thanks to four Chronister assists. Up 16-7, Widener would suffer a huge 1-10 run to tie the game at 17. The teams would trade scores without a big lead, until two straight Washington College scores would see the Pride lose 26-28.Â

Widener again would have a strong early showing as they would jump out to a 5-2. The teams would again clash in a close battle down the stretch, until an Abigail Herrin kill would spark a four-point run.
