HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ

The Pride wasted no time in the first quarter, as Juliana Sanchez would hit the first goal of the game six minutes into regulation. Widener would take seven more shots in the first, but none would find the net as the Pride would take their 1-0 lead into the second.Â

It would only take two minutes in the second quarter for Maddie Hoyer to find Kayleigh Armstrong and extend the Pride's lead to 2-0. Widener would stay hungry, as Armstrong would send a pass to Sanchez as Juliana would pick up her second goal of the day. The Pride would score again before the quarter would finish, as Armstrong beat the goalie on a penalty stroke to take a 4-0 lead. No shots would be taken from the Pioneers, and Widener would keep their 4-0 lead.Â

Karly Bervinchak would explode to start the third quarter, as she would score two goals in just over five minutes of play in the period. The first was assisted by Olivia Deysher, while Maddie Hoyer gained credit for the second. With there still being no William Pattison shots in the third quarter, Widener would enter the fourth up 6-0.Â

The Pride would not go gentle into that good night as they poured on the scoring in the fourth quarter. Karly Bervinchak would get things started 30 seconds into the quarter as she would pick up a hat trick with her third goal. Mackenzie Adamson would also grab a goal, scoring near the 51-minute mark. Brie Mallozzi would have an impressive showing, scoring a goal and assisting Meredeth Marstellar's score over two minutes. With a final Emma Lavin goal on the assist from Sanchez, the Pride would take a 11-0 win.Â
