CHESTER, Pa. – With the 2024 regular season completed, Widener women's lacrosse now heads to the MAC Commonwealth Conference Semifinals. They will face the York College Spartans in York, Pa. on Wednesday, May 1. Game time is at 4 p.m.
The Pride ended the regular season with an 8-9 record (4-3 MAC Commonwealth). They faced multiple ranked teams at the time of each game, including Haverford (receiving votes), Christopher Newport (#15), and York (#19). Widener's regular-season finale was a narrow 7-6 loss to Stevenson.
The Spartans finished the 2024 season with an 11-6 record (7-0 MAC Commonwealth). They also faced an array of ranked opponents, including Franklin and Marshall (#6), William Smith (#3), Gettysburg (#6), Washington and Lee (#7), and Salisbury (#4). Their final game of the regular season was a 14-6 victory at Messiah.
The Pride and Spartans saw each other on Saturday, April 20 in York, Pa. The Spartans won 16-4.

Catherine Scott each scored two goals.
Senior midfielder
Jamie DeHaven had another strong year for the Pride. In the regular season, she had 38 goals and 13 assists for 51 points (the former two were both second-most; the 51 points led the Pride). Seventy of 90 shots, both of which were first for Widener, were on goal. She had a team-high four game-winning goals. DeHaven led the team with 62 draw controls, which also was tied for fourth in the conference, and caused the second-most turnovers for the Pride (23). She had a season-best five goals against Ursinus (3/27) and Eastern (4/24). DeHaven started all 17 games played.
Scott, a senior midfielder, had the most goals for the Pride with 41. Her 41 goals and four assists gave her 45 points, which was second behind DeHaven. Fifty-eight of 77 shots were on goal, both of which were second-best. Scott had a season-high five goals against Alvernia (4/6). She was tied for fifth in the MAC in goals. She started all 17 games played.
Finally, senior goalie
Katelyn Rosini put up another solid year in goal. In over 800 minutes of action, Rosini made 126 saves and posted a 7-9 record. She faced 363 shots. Rosini was second in the conference in saves. She saved a season-high 19 shots against Cabrini (3/8). Rosini started 15 of 16 games played.
The winner of this game will face the winner of the Messiah-Stevenson game on Saturday, May 4 for the Conference Final. Game time is to be determined.
