Robinson and Kervick Shine in Heptathlon at TCNJ Invite and Multi

EWING, N.J. – Women's Track and Field heptathlon place high at 2024 TCNJ Invite and Multi over three days of competition.
 
HEPTATHLON
 
Kayla Robinson took second in the heptathlon with 4234 points and a MAC and AARTFC standard. Robinson's 100-meter hurdles marked a new personal best with a 16.65. Theresa Kervick also earned both standards with 3757 points. Kervick saw an overall personal best with event bests in the 100-meter hurdles (17.16), height jump (1.50-meters), and javelin (28.88-meters).
 
TRACK
 
Mariam Koita took first overall in the 100-meter dash as she clocked a 12.65 in finals and a 12.71 in preliminaries. Koita grabbed a new personal best with her final time. Olivia Giannella clocked a 13.24 in preliminaries as well. Both would earn conference standards after their race.
 
Koita continued her racing in the 200-meter dash where she took third in a 25.75 and conference standard.
 
In the 400-meter, Kelly Barr led the Pride with a 59.29. Emma Schultz and Olivia DeVito followed closely with a 1:02.57 and 1:03.53 respectively. The three would earn conference standards.
 
Three Pride runners would see a top 20 finish in the 800-meter run. Kathryn Long led the group with a 2:32.30. Erin O'Brien ran a 2:35.95 while Emily Rudolph saw a new personal best 2:36.29. Chris Tran would add to the personal best train with a 2:42.83.
 
In the mile, Rudolph clocked in another personal best with a 5:18.98. Tran clocked in a mile time of a 5:30.75.
 
The quad of DeVito, Barr, Schultz, and Erica Thomas ran a 4:11.58 in the 4x400 relay and took second overall.
 
FIELD
 
Savannah Steger marked a new MAC standard in the pole vault with a 3.15-meter jump. Amanda Simpson saw a 2.55-meter height, just shy of her personal best.
 
Jillian Walker threw three in the discus where she hit a 22.11-meter distance.
 
In her final event Walker saw a new personal best 30.10-meter mark in the hammer throw. Her mark earned her a MAC qualification. Anna Baukal also saw a mark of 23.01-meters.

Widener returns to Hansell Track for the Paul Donahue Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 19 and 20.
