CHESTER, Pa. –Widener Athletics is covering women's track and field student-athlete
Kayla Robinson for the third installment of "Black History Mondays."
Robinson is in her first season with the Pride after previously competing with the Haverford College Fords. Last season, Robinson was named the Centennial Conference's Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the All-CC Second Team. She averaged 13 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game. Among her accomplishments was having a DIII-leading 21 double-doubles, being third in the nation in rebounds with 371, and setting a CC single-game rebound record (27).
In high school, Robinson was a four-time letterwinner for basketball and track and field, and she got three letters for volleyball. She was also a 1000-point scorer for high school basketball.
