BETHLEHEM, Pa. & NEW YORK, N.Y. – A split team opening weekend shows
Kayla Robinson Widener record at Lehigh's Fast Times Before Finals meet.
LEHIGH FAST TIMES BEFORE FINALS
On day one Robinson took to the pentathlon where she won the event with 3451 total points. Robinson's score would down her own Widener record by 300 points to stand fourth in the nation.
Theresa Kervick also competed and took fourth with 2976 points. Robinson and Kervick currently mark first and second in the MAC and in Widener history.
In the shot put,
Adeline Kraics placed 10th with a 10.37-meter throw to mark a collegiate best.
Jayden McCracken threw a new distance of 8.85-meters.
Anna Baukal would mark a 11.18-meter throw in the weight throw, marking a new personal best.
TCNJ INDOOR OPENER
The 60-meter dash at the Armory would feature
Maria Muzzarelli and
Mariam Koita who both qualifed for finals. Muzzarelli set her threshhold with a 7.84 while Koita clocked in an 8.06.
A non-traditional event (300-meters) showed Koita, Muzzarelli, and
Alyssa Kolimaga. The three would run a 42.06, 42.52, and a 46.83 repectively.
Emma Schultz led the 400-meter dash with a 1:01.81 to lead
Erica Thomas and
Allyson Hakes. Thomas ran in a 1:03.47 while Hakes set a new collegiate best in her first meet with a 1:07.61.
Zahara Simmons put herself in the Widener top 10 list with a 1.48-meter jump in the high jump. Simmons also moved onto the finals in the 60-meter hurdles with a final time of 9.53.
