CHESTER, Pa. - Women's Basketball gets a hard fought 70-66 2OT win over Dickinson at home.
The Pride improve to 5-4 on the season and remain 0-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Pride and Red Devils would both get off to a slow start to the game, with it being over a minute and a half and six possessions into the game until Dickinson would score on a fastbreak layup. Robbins would score all the Pride's points on a 5-0 run to take a 5-3 lead, but a Red Devil layup would see the score tied. Dickinson would go on a run from there, but McFillin's free throw and Riley Stackhouse's layup would cut the lead down to 8-9 to finish the first.

The second quarter would be back and forth as Robbins jumper and Jayla Daniels make from behind the arc would put the Pride up 13-10. The teams would trade leads as Kutz would put up a strong scoring effort for Widener, but neither team would pick up a major lead in the period. Kutz and Casiello's scoring in the paint would see the Pride tie up the game at 25 heading into the half.

The Pride would start the third scoring six straight thanks to Kutz and Kaitlyn Kearney, but the Red Devils would respond going on their own 9-0 run. Ava Baer's jumpshot would tie the game at 34, but another strong Dickinson scoring surge would see the quarter end 36-38 after a crafty layup from Daniels.

The Pride would start hot in the fourth quarter, with Kutz's put back layup putting the team ahead 42-38. The teams would again fight in a close scoring game, but McFillin's pull up jumper would give the Pride a three-point lead at 46-43. Robbins and-one layup would have the crowd explode, but a Dickinson layup with 20 seconds to go would tie the game and force overtime with a score of 54-54.

In the second OT, Kutz and Robbins would put up the first four point of the game as they continued their hot hands. A Riley Stackhouse layup would see Widener take a two-possession lead at 68-63, and free throws would send the team home. After a long battle, it would be the Pride who emerged the victors at 70-66.
