Robbins' 16 Points Would See Pride Blow Out King's 56-36

The Pride Force the Monarchs to 25% from the Field

CHESTER, Pa. - A strong start for the Pride would see them keep the momentum and beat King's in blowout fashion 56-36. 

The Pride improve to 2-2 in the season and remain 0-0 in conference play. 

BY THE NUMBERS 

  • Mia Robbins would be her usual dominant self, leading the game with 16 points. 

  • Lindsey Kutz had amazing hustle all game, getting a team-best eight rebounds and four steals. 

  • Four different Pride players would record a block in the game. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Mia Robbins would get things going early, scoring nine first quarter points. Two 5-0 runs in the quarter would see the Pride up big, and Riley Stackhouse's three assists would help Widener go up 18-9 in the first. 

  • Kimberly Casiello and Mary McFillin would get things going for the Pride, hitting two 3-pointers as Widener would take a 14 point lead. A Stackhouse to Robbins layup would finish out the quarter as the Pride would lead 27-13 at half. 

  • The third quarter would be all Widener, as the team would go on a 8-0 run thanks to five Robbins points. The Pride would force nine turnovers in the period, and a Stackhouse mid-range jumper would see the Pride up 42-20 after an outstanding third quarter. 

  • The Pride would sit their seniors to close the final quarter of play, and the young squad did not disappoint. Kaitlyn Kearney's five would lead the team over the period with her great dribble-drives, and Kaitlin Meenan would score four using her size in the paint. Egli, Palmieri, and Daniels would all also contribute as the Pride would emerge with a 56-36 win.

The Pride will have a tough matchup in their next game as they face national #9 Christopher Newport at home. Tip-off is Saturday, November 23rd at 1pm.
