COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Meyers grabs two individual wins in a duel in pool with Ursinus
The Pride's 166-94 loss moves them to 2-3 in the regular season while remaining 2-1 in MAC standings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
To open the meet,
Sophia Sapnas,
Olivia Barclay,
Sally Meyers, and
Megan Shallow take second in the 400-yard medley relay. The quad would clock in a 4:17.22.
Shallow led a 2-3 charge in the 200-yard freestyle as she hit the wall in a 2:01.67 just missing first.
Olivia Giambalvo finished third with a 2:08.73.
Sapnas took third in the 100-yard backstroke where she snuck in with a 1:05.69.
Sally Meyers won by three seconds in the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:19.27 with
Kaitlyn Fahy (2:35.24) and
Olivia Downs (2:43.48) finishing out the race in third and forth.
Distance swimmer
Lauren Kalsbeek turned sprinter in the 50-yard freestyle. Kalsbeek took second overall with a 25.95 just getting out touched. Kalsbeek continued her seconds for the weekend in the 200-yard backstroke where she clocked a 2:21.51.
Barclay (2:38.15),
Emily Thompson (2:51.29), and
Anna Durboraw (2:54.08) finished 2-3-4 in the 200-yard breaststroke to earn Pride points.
Meyers took another win in the 100-yard butterfly where she won by two seconds with a 1:01.66.
The final race of the afternoon would result in a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The four (Shallow, Meyers, Downs, and Kalsbeek) wrapped up racing with a 1:43.91.
