CHESTER, Pa. – Men's Soccer secured the number three seed in the playoffs against the Eastern University Eagles.
The Pride improved to 9-6-4 in the regular season and 4-2-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After honoring the seniors, Widener came out and took an early lead early lead as Stefano put The Pride ahead early at the 9:59 mark. The Pride would not take long to add on as Senior Michael Donaghy scored the second goal of the match, with an assist from Sean Fatiga, at the 21:41 mark. The Eagles would answer back right before the half came to a close at the 38:31 mark. Widener would lead two to one going into halftime.
- Coming out of halftime, Eastern quickly evened the score at the 49:19 mark. Tied at two, Widener was able to take back control of the game, as Ricky Venegas Banuelos scored at the 58:48 mark with an assist from Stefano Turano. The Pride would extend their lead at the 76:37 mark as Sean Fatiga scored his second goal of the game. The Pride played spectacular defense the rest of the way and would walk off Hirschmann Field with a four to two win on Senior day.

Widener will be on the Road to take on York College in the MAC Commonwealth playoffs on Tuesday, November 5
