HOW IT HAPPENED

  • With a trip to the MAC Commonwealth championship game on the line, York came out and took a quick lead over the pride, scoring the first goal of the match at the 10:45 mark. The Pride would not allow this early goal to dampen their spirits as they answered back quickly. Christian Doyle tied the game at the 16:08 mark with an assist from Stefano Turano. The two early goals would be the only offense in the first half as both defenses settled in. With both defenses playing well, the game would go into the half tied one to one.

  • Coming out of the half, York wasted little time scoring the go-ahead goal as they put one in the net at the 56:26 mark. Widener would make multiple attempts to even the score back up, out shooting The Spartans for the remainder of the game. York was able to defend against the widener offensive and come out with a two to one victory, ending The Pride's season.
