GLASSBORO, N.J. - Field Hockey would struggle to get their offense going as a road trip to Rowan would end in a 0-4 loss.
The Pride fall to 4-6 on the season and remain 0-0 in conference play.
BY THE NUMBERS
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter would see plenty of fouls early as seven were recorded in under five minutes. Rowan would find the net in this time while Widener would not record a shot in the period as the Pride would go down 0-1 in the first quarter of play.
- The second quarter was extremely defensive for the majority of the period. Abby Blake would pick up two saves before the Profs would pick up another goal just five minutes away from halftime, as Widener would trail 0-2 heading into the half.
- The third quarter was all defense again, with Lily Rejrat and Maddie Hoyer both picking saves. Widener would hold off Rowan from scoring, but also wouldn't record a shot, as the 0-2 score would remain going into the fourth.
- The fourth quarter saw two solid Rejrat saves before Rowan would sink a goal off a penalty corner to extend their lead. Meredith Marsteller would get a save as well, but the Prof's would find the net again at the 55 minute mark as the Pride would ultimately fall 0-4.
