GLENSIDE, Pa. - Field Hockey would take a tough loss to Arcadia following a slow start to the game. 

The Pride fall to 4-5 on the season and remain 1-1 in conference play. 

BY THE NUMBERS 

• Karly Bervinchak and Makenzie Adamson would score a goal each in the game. 

• Adamson would also lead the team with six shots, four being on goal. 

• Lilly Rejrat would have a team-best six saves. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The first quarter was not kind to the Pride, as they suffered three goals in just over six minutes of play. Karly Bervinchak would snipe a goal to respond to the run, but Widener would trail 1-3 after the first. 

• The second quarter would be a defensive one, as nine total shots would be taken and none would find the net. Abby Blake would pick up three saves, and the Pride would remain down 1-3 at halftime. 

• The third quarter would start on a much better note, as Hannah Miller would find Mackenzie Adamson for a goal to cut the lead to 2-3. 

• The Pride would suffer a goal in the middle of the fourth as the Knights would take a two-goal lead. The Pride would take five shots to retaliate, but none would lead to scores. With under three minutes left, Arcadia would score on a penalty stroke as the Pride would fall 2-5.

The Pride will play their final game of their road trip as they face off against Rowan on Wednesday, October 9th. That game is set to start at 6pm.
