CHESTER, Pa. – Men's Soccer was unable to stop the Messiah University Falcons offense in conference loss.
 
The Pride fall to 8-6-4 in the regular season and 3-2-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.
 
BY THE NUMBERS
 
	- The Pride took 11 shots (5 on goal). The Falcons took 21 shots (11 on goal).
 
	- Widener had 8 saves while Messiah had 5.
 
	- The Pride took 3 corner kicks compared to Messiah's 9.
 
	- Widener committed 11 fouls and Messiah committed 9.
 
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
	- Messiah Started off the match applying the pressure on The Pride defense. The Falcons controlled possession of the ball and took two shots within the first six minutes of the match. Widener would eventually settle in, slowing the Messiah attack until the 30:49 mark when The Falcons cashed in and scored the first goal of the match. The rest of the half consisted of the teams' trading shots until the final whistle of the half blew. The match would go into halftime with The Falcons leading one to nothing.
 
 
	- After taking the lead in the first half, The Falcons continued to dominate possession of the ball. The Pride defense defended against a flurry of shots, but Messiah broke through at the 64:02 mark to take a two to nothing lead. Widener would try to get back into this game taking multiple shots that were either saved or blocked. Messiah would ice the game at the 81:40 mark scoring their third goal of the game and handing The Pride their sixth loss of the year.
