CHESTER, Pa. – Women's Soccer dominates in conference match up against the Alvernia University Golden Wolves
 
The Pride improve to 6-7-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 

• Looking to improve their conference record, The Pride took the field and looked well prepared. Widener started off the game by taking the first shot at 3:50 that just missed, hitting the crossbar. The Pride would continue to command this game taking eight shots in the first half and not allowing Alvernia to get a single shot off. Unfortunately for The Pride, they were unable to land any in the back of the net, and the game would go into the half with both teams scoreless.

 

• After the half, the pride were finally able to break through, as Maggie Boyes scored the first goal of the match at the 69:20 mark. Soon after, Charlotte Burke was able to extend the lead with her first collegiate goal at the 72:24 mark. After going up two to zero, The Pride defense did not slow down, stopping anything and everything the Golden Wolves tried to do. The match would end with a final score of Widener two and Alvernia zero.
