CHESTER, Pa. - A volley of aces would turn the tide in close sets as women's Volleyball sweeps the Bison of Nichols.
The Pride improve to 14-7 on the season and remain 1-2 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Bison would be early aggressors in the first set, going up 3-6 early and going on a 1-5 run to take a 12-15 lead in the middle of the set. A huge 11-2 Pride run led by Kristen Vacca and Abigail Herrin's hitting would give Widener life with a 24-18 comeback, and a Toomey kill from Chronister would seal the set as the Pride would take a 25-20 win.

Down 2-4 early, the Pride would suffer a crushing 1-10 run soon after in the set to trail 7-15. Widener would respond with a 12-2 run highlighted by Chronister's three assists and three straight aces to storm back and take a 19-17 lead. Down 22-23 late in the set, Lilyanna Martucci's kill and ace would spark a 3-0 run to take the set 25-23.

The Pride would dominate the third set, starting up 6-1. Not far after, a 15-3 run again led by Chronister's passing and serving would see Widener on the verge of sweeping up 22-7. A Chronister to Herrin kill would finish off the Bison as the Pride would win the final set with a score of 25-10.
