CHESTER, Pa. – The B-Relay shined in a Friday night win for the Widener Men's Swimming team over Immaculata.
The 136-38 win puts the Pride at 6-1 in the season and 3-0 in MAC standings.
Opening the meet was a B-lay win taking the 200-yard medley relay. The quad of
Shane Douthit,
Jadyn Manning,
Matthew Niro, and Pat Rauch touched in a 1:41.14.
Isaiah Moreef,
Jason Mongiovi,
Adam Bailey, and
Joshua Cunningham finished in 1:47.22.
Michael Machristie swam a solo 1000-yard free for the first time this season to register an 11:09.45.
In the 400-yard individual medley, Mongiovi, Bailey, and Rauch took a 1-2-3 finish. Mongiovi swam a 4:19.01 while Bailey bettered his season time with a 4:43.55 as Rauch did the same with a 4:43.77.
Dan Jackson led a 1-2 finish in the 100-yard butterfly as he clocked a 53.73. Niro's 53.80 time would seal a second place.
Manning's freestyle presence was shown in the 100-yard free as he would dominate the race winning by six seconds with a 48.91.
Senior
Gavin Franklin led a 1-2 finish in the 100-yard back. Franklin touched in a 1:02.31 while Pat Rankin hit in a 1:02.50.
Sprinter Douthit nabbed a first in the distance 500-yard free with a 5:30.65.
Marcus Moreef would follow close behind with a 5:32.07 to take second.
The final individual event featured Mongiovi sneaking into first with a 1:02.16. Jackson ended the night with a 1:02.54 and a second.
The B-lay again would show force as they took the final relay with a 1:34.08 consisting of
Sean Hourican, Manning, Cunningham, and I. Moreef.

Widener will hit the road for the final time this season to take on the 4-1 (3-1 MAC) Arcadia Knights in a 11 a.m. start.
