CHESTER, Pa. – On a day where
Sean Fatiga became Widener's all-time leader in career goals, Widener defeated the York College Spartans 4-0.
The Pride are 9-0-0 in the regular season. They are 1-0 in MAC play.
BY THE NUMBERS
- The Pride took 13 shots (eight on goal). The Spartans took 12 shots (five on goal).
- York had 11 fouls, while Widener only had six.
- In goal, Ryan Van Pelt made four saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST YORK
- The Pride's first goal of the day was at 19:26. Fatiga scored on a Stefano Turano assist. Fatiga's second goal was assisted by Hector Suriel.
- At 56:49, Max Hartke scored his first goal of the season. That made the score 3-0 Widener.
- To complete the hat trick, Fatiga's third goal was scored at 65:32. Michael Donaghy was credited with an assist.
- Two yellow cards were assessed in the match, with one going to each side. Widener's was on Christian Doyle.
- Besides Fatiga, Donaghy was second on the team in shots (two).
- With the lead secured, Tristan Willey saw 16 minutes of action in goal. He made one save.
