GALLOWAY, N.J. – Despite Widener men's soccer's nine-match winning streak to start the season, they took their first loss against the Stockton University Ospreys 2-0.
The Pride are 9-1-0 in the regular season. They are 1-0 in MAC play.
BY THE NUMBERS
	- Widener had four shots (two on goal). Stockton had nine shots (four on goal).
 
	- The Ospreys had 11 fouls, compared to just five from the Pride.
 
	- In goal, Ryan Van Pelt made two saves.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST STOCKTON
	- The Pride's four shots each came from a different player: Sean Fatiga, Hector Suriel, Max Hartke, and Michael Burckley.
 
	- Fatiga and Suriel were responsible for the shots on goal.
 
	- Both of Van Pelt's saves were in the second half. At 52:19, a shot in the bottom center was saved. The same sequence happened about 10 minutes later.
 
	- Hartke was assessed a yellow card at the 57:01 mark. Widener was assessed a team yellow card at 80:22.

The Pride will travel to Mechanicsburg, Pa. on Saturday, Oct. 7 to take on the Messiah University Falcons, the top-ranked team in DIII. The match is set for 3 p.m.
