CHESTER, Pa. - Field Hockey takes a 2-0 win over DeSales University on Field Hockey Umpire Appreciation week. 

The Pride improve to 3-5 on the season. Conference play begins Saturday, October 7th at Hood College. 

BY THE NUMBERS 

• Makenzie Adamson and Skylar Bayard with a goal each 

• Meredith Marstellar with the only assist of the game 

• Widener led in shots 12-5 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Meredith Marstellar finds Makenzie Adamson early in the first to go up 1-0 

• Skylar Bayard intercepts a pass deep in Bulldog territory and puts it in to make the score 2-0 in the first quarter 

• The Pride stay the course and go into the half with a 2-0 lead 

• After a very defensive second half, the Pride secure the shutout 2-0

The Pride will look to continue holding down the fort against Arcadia University on Wednesday, October 4th. That game is set to start at 7pm.
