CHESTER, Pa. - Women's Volleyball takes care of business at home against Washington College 3-1. 

The Pride improve to 8-6 on the season and remain 0-2 in conference. The team resumes in-conference play on Wednesday, October 4th against Hood College.  

BY THE NUMBERS 

• Abigail Herrin had a monster game with a team-leading 14 along with three aces 

• FOUR players: Rachel DiCarlo, Liz Barnes, Megan Barthol, and Julia Schwab tie for a team leading 15 digs 

• Megan Barthol with another great passing night with 33 assists 

• Azira Benjamin and Shannon Toomey both with a solo and assisted block each 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Widener set the tone in the first set, getting the lead and never looking back for a 25-19 win 

• Despite being tied at 19, Washington College responds with a win in the second set 22-25 to tie the match  

• Widener benefits from three errors in a row and a Lilyanna Martucci ace to win the third set 25-15 

• The Megan Barthol-Abigail Herrin connection was on fire all night, and together they ended the fourth set and match with a 25-19 win

The Pride will look to continue their strong performance on Saturday, September 30th at Stockton University. That game is set to start at 10am.
