CHESTER, Pa. – Widener men's soccer took care of business on Saturday, as they defeated the Susquehanna University River Hawks 7-0.
The Pride are 5-0-0 in the regular season. They will play their first conference match against the York College Spartans on Sept. 30.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Widener had 21 shots, 11 of which were on goal.
- Widener only had eight fouls in the match. Susquehanna had 13.
- Andrew Garofalo had two saves in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SUSQUEHANNA
- Sean Fatiga scored the first goal of the match at 14:36 in the first half. The goal was unassisted. He would lead the team with two goals on the day.
- Fatiga and Bryan Gaviria were tied for the most shot attempts for the Pride (four each). They, along with Jordi Lopez and Monsif Atify, had a team-best two shots on goal each.
- Christian Doyle's streak of goals continued. He has scored a goal in each of the Pride's first five matches.
- Four players picked up an assist: Lopez, Hector Suriel, Will Cole, and Gaviria. For the latter three, it was their first assists of the season.
