CHESTER, Pa. – Widener women's soccer is still searching for their first win of the season after they finished with a scoreless tie vs. Haverford on Wednesday.
The Pride are 0-2-3 in the regular season. They will play their first conference match against the York College Spartans on Sept. 30.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Widener had five shots (none on goal). Haverford had 17 shots (four on goal).
- In goal, Samantha Coon made four saves. Her season total is at 26.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST HAVERFORD
- Of the five shots by the Pride, all were taken by a different player.
- The Pride took one corner kick. Haverford took three. However, Widener only had seven fouls. Haverford had 10.
- Alyssa Carman leads the team with three shots on the year.
- Coon made a clutch save in the 89th minute. If it had gone in, that would have broken the tie.

The Pride are on the road on Saturday, September 16 to take on the Wilkes University Colonels. That match is at 3:30 p.m. Their next home match is next Wednesday, September 20, as they host the Cabrini University Cavaliers. That match begins at 7 p.m.
