BALTIMORE, Md. – Widener women's soccer started their new season with a scoreless tie against the University of Scranton Royals. The teams played in Baltimore as part of the Johns Hopkins Women's Soccer Invitational.
The Pride are 0-0-1 in the regular season. They will play their first conference game against the York College Spartans on Sept. 30.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SCRANTON
- Widener's shots were taken by sophomore Kelly Barr and junior Madison Blackshire.
- Widener had five saves compared to Scranton's one in each half.
- Both teams kept things tight with corner kicks, with Scranton having two more than Widener (3-1).

The Pride continue their trip to Baltimore with a match against the Sewanee Tigers on Sunday, Sept. 3. That match will begin at 12 p.m.
