MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Men's Basketball follows up Wednesday win with a second in the final game at the Cruzin' Classic against Benedictine

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A slow start from the Pride saw first points from Kevin Schenk four minutes into the game. Schenk would dish out four more points to pull the Pride within two. A Rankine layup gave the Blue and Gold after a Michael Kane steal a one-point deficit to allow Xavier Ernest the chance to tie on a pair of free throws. Under halfway in the first, Mazur the lazur got hot from the three line with his first triple of the game at 6:41. A minute later he drained another to hit a fastbreak layup after a Dominic Dunn steal with 4:52 remaining. Just over a minute remaining, Mazur pulled the lead to eight with another triple while DiCaro hit one himself to send the Pride into halftime with a 36-27 lead.
  • The Pride opened the second with a 7-0 run with another Mazur triple and a Schenk jumper. Dunn's layup at 15:33 gave the Pride 50. Back-to-back layups from DiCaro and a Myles Bright layup gave the Pride a 20-point lead just over halfway through the half. Benedictine would crawl back to an 11-point differential but Bright would hit a triple with 2:05 left to push the score back up. Jay-Nelly Reyes would close out the game with a rebound and layup to give the Pride their second win in Florida and a 77-64 win over Benedictine.
