WOOSTER, Ohio - Widener Men's Basketball falls in a neutral site game against #8 Hampden-Sydney on Friday evening.
A 72-63 loss gives the Pride their first loss of the season with the first MAC Commonwealth game slated for just after the New Year.

- Dominic Dunn led the Pride with a double-double (17 points and 10 rebounds).
- Steven Matlack saw four steals.
- Off the bench, Matt Daulerio added 13 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN WOOSTER
- Steven Matlack opened the game for the Pride with a quick block and rebound early in the game. The opening points for the Pride came from an Anthony DiCaro free throw. A scoreless portion of the first period was ended with a Michael Kane layup cutting the lead down to nine. Dunn's hot streak began with two back to back threes to bring the Pride within three with 13:26 left. Following Dunn's quick six, anther two was added on a good jump shot. Coming out of a media timeout, the Pride saw the final points of the half with 32 seconds left with a good three jumper to head into halftime down 10.
- Out of half, Luke Mazur tacked on two free throws for the first points of the second. Dunn quickly added five to his total to cut the lead to four. Points from both sides kept the game within five until Mazur drained a three to drop the lead to two. A hot streak from the Tigers took off as the Pride began to chop away again. DiCaro would sink a layup and a pair of free throws to drop the lead to six. With under a minute left Dunn would see a layup with an assist from Howie Rankine to lead into a Rankine three. As the game ticked down, Rankine added the last points for the Pride.

Widener will take on the winner of the Rose-Hulan vs Wooster game on Saturday, Nov. 18. Game time is yet to be determined.
