HOW IT HAPPENED IN THE SCHWARTZ CENTER
- A hot start from the Pride and Bears is countered with a Matlack three just five minutes into the game. Matlack's three would give the Pride a 10-0 run with Schenk hitting a couple jumpers and Mazur draining a three on a fast break. Minutes later Mazur hits another fast break three to give the Pride a 10-point lead with 13:11 on the board. Threes continue to drain as Matlack hits his second of the game. In the paint, Howie Rankine hit a good jumper to give the Pride an 11- point lead and give the Blue and Gold a 12-0 run. Mazur would end the half with a good jumper in the paint to send the Pride into half up 13.
- Out of half, Matt Daulerio opened the scoring with a good free throw as Mike Kane followed later with two more. Off the bench Myles Bright drained a three to lead into a Bears turnover and a good jumper from Rankine. The Bears would inch back into the game but not until Dunn's layup pushed the lead back to seven to allow DiCaro to put on a fancy move the Pride back to a 10-point lead. DiCaro continued to push the lead with a pair of free throws to allow Schenk to add a bucket and Rankine to add his free throws. The Pride end with a 13-point win. In the 40 minutes, the Blue and Gold shot 45.1% from the floor, earned 40 points in the paint, and 36 off fast breaks.
