CHESTER, Pa. – Widener men's soccer, who celebrated their seniors on Saturday, dominated the Albright College Lions at home for a 4-0 victory.
The Pride are 12-2-1 in the regular season. They are 3-1-1 in MAC play.
BY THE NUMBERS
- The Pride took 23 shots (nine on goal). The Lions had five shots (one on goal).
- Widener had five corner kicks, compared to one from Albright.
- In goal, Andrew Garofalo made one save.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ALBRIGHT
- The Pride had four goals for the evening, all in the second half. Max Hartke started things off with a goal on a Christian Doyle assist at 60:30.
- Three minutes later, Hector Suriel booted a shot into the net for the second Widener goal. Sean Fatiga assisted.
- Michael Donaghy was involved in the final two goals, but in different roles. He scored the Pride's third goal at 76:17 on a Wildan Bondea assist.
- Donaghy would assist Michael Burckley on the final goal at 78:19.
- Fatiga led the way with four shots (two on goal). Monsif Atify was second on the team with three shots.
- Albright's Chase Gilligan was assessed a yellow card at 89:15.
