OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Widener men's soccer, with less than five matches left in the regular season, tied with the Stevenson University Mustangs 0-0 for their first draw of the season.
The Pride are 11-2-1 in the regular season. They are 2-1-1 in MAC play.
BY THE NUMBERS
- The Pride had 13 shots (three on goal). The Mustangs had 12 shots (four on goal).
- Each side had five corner kicks.
- In goal, Ryan Van Pelt made four saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST STEVENSON
- Max Hartke led the Pride with three shots (two on goal). Michael Donaghy and Sean Fatiga each had two shots.
- Widener put up three shot attempts in the first 11 minutes. They were taken by Monsif Atify, Fatiga, and Donaghy.
- Three of Van Pelt's four saves came in the second half. The final one was a shot at the bottom center at 74:38.
- The Mustangs had two more fouls than the Pride (16-14).
- Stevenson was assessed a yellow card at 48:02.
