CHESTER, Pa. – Widener men's soccer took care of business on Saturday, as they defeated the Hood College Blazers 3-1.
The Pride are 11-2 in the regular season. They are 2-1 in MAC play.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Widener had 26 shots (11 on goal). Hood had five shots (two on goal).
- The Pride dominated corner kicks, as they had nine. The Blazers had zero.
- Ryan Van Pelt and Kyle Stone saw minutes in goal for the Pride. Stone made one save.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST HOOD
- Sean Fatiga picked up two more goals in this match. His first was at 3:58 in the first half. Fatiga would go on to score the Pride's third goal as well. Michael Donaghy earned an assist.
- Donaghy put a shot in the net for the Pride on Saturday. He scored the second goal of the evening at 9:36.
- Fatiga led the way with six shots (four on goal). Multiple players were tied for second with two shots each: Wildan Bondea, Stefano Turano, Will Cole, and Monsif Atify.
- Widener and Hood were close in the number of fouls. Widener had seven, compared to six from Hood.
- A yellow card was assessed to both sides. Angelo Pelosi received one in the first half.
