CHESTER, Pa. – In Wednesday's breast-cancer-awareness match versus the Arcadia University Knights, Widener men's soccer picked up a 2-0 win.
The Pride are 10-2 in the regular season. They are 1-1 in MAC play.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Widener took 20 shots for the evening (six on goal). Arcadia had four shots (two on goal).
- The Pride had two corner kicks, compared to one from the Knights.
- In goal, Ryan Van Pelt made two saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ARCADIA
- The Pride started off hot with a Sean Fatiga goal not even two minutes into the match. Christian Vetter recorded an assist.
- Fatiga would score his second goal at 54:15, bringing his total to 14 goals for the season. Will Cole picked up an assist.
- Max Hartke led the team with five shots. Fatiga was second with three shots.
- Ricky Venegas Banuelos made his first start of the season.
- Neither team was assessed with a yellow or red card.
- This is the Pride's fifth shutout of the season. They have all been at home.

The Pride will be back at Quick Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. They will host the Hood College Blazers as part of Homecoming weekend.
