CHESTER, Pa. – Even though Widener women's soccer had a 2-0 lead against the Delaware Valley University Aggies on Tuesday, the Pride fell 3-2.
The Pride are 2-6-4 on the season. They are 0-2 against MAC opponents.
BY THE NUMBERS
- The Pride had 23 shots (12 on goal). The Aggies had eight shots (four on goal).
- Widener had six corner kicks, compared to Delaware Valley's one.
- In goal, Nicole Rende had two saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST DELAWARE VALLEY
- All of the goals in this match were scored in the second half. The first goal was scored by Brynn Foley. Nicole Buonavolta recorded an assist.
- Alyssa Carman added a goal at 54:53 on an assist by Foley. The Pride went up 2-0.
- Carman led the team with nine shots (five on goal). Ciara Minkel was second on the team with three shots.
- Tied 2-2, Delaware Valley took the lead at 85:37. Widener scored a goal on themselves.
- A yellow card was assessed on Gillian Baker of Delaware Valley at 89:20.
- The Pride had five less fouls than the Aggies (11-6).
