RAMAPO, N.J. – Sophomore
Jason Mongiovi adds two individual victories in the Pride's final dual meet against Ramapo on Saturday afternoon.
After the loss, the Pride fall to 6-5 in dual meets and 3-2 in MAC meets.
HOW IT HAPPENED IN RAMAPO
The men started off with a 200-medley relay split with a team consisting of Pat Rauch (26.79),
Joshua Cunningham (29.27),
Jason Mongiovi (23.69), and
Shane Douthit (21.58) with a time of 1:41.33
The very next event, Mongiovi dominated the 1000 free to win the event by over 12 seconds in a final time of 10:20.95.
Douthit added a split in the 200 free with a 1:53.07.
Rauch also added a split in the 100 backstroke with a 56.55 nearly missing a first place finish.
Patrick Rankin grabbed a 2:08.81 in the 200 butterfly to win the event by nearly six seconds.
Cunningham sprinted a 23:01 to just get out touched in the 50 free.
Rauch picked up his first individual victory in the 200 backstroke with a 2:05.01 to out touch McDevitt of Ramapo.
Mongiovi saw his second individual victory in the 200 individual medley to win by nearly three seconds with a 2:00.81.
The men capped off the meet with a 1:30.57 consisting of Cunningham (23.11), Rauch (22.48),
Isaiah Moreef (23.19), and Douthit (21.79).
In the final dual meet, the Blue and Gold fell short 164-97 to the Roadrunners.

Widener hits the road one last time to the York YMCA for the 2023 MAC Championships on Feb. 9-12. Preliminary sessions are set to begin at 9:30 a.m. while finals sessions are scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
