BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore
Samuel Knowles sets tone for the Pride at Moravian Indoor Meet on Saturday.
Knowles ran a 50.44 in the 400-meter dash which earned him an AARTFC and MAC qualification. His time currently ranks him first in the MAC with just a month out of conference championships. The sophomore's season best just misses the top 50 in the nation.
Teammate
Mikeal Palmieri ran his first collegiate 400-meter dash and just missed the MAC qualification time of 54.43. Palmieri's time of 54.49 ranks him second on the team.
In the mile, senior Patrick Carolan paced himself to a 4:22.42 mile, earning an AARTFC and MAC qualification time. Carolan's time ranks him second in the conference .05 behind Carl Tyce from DeSales who competed in the same race on Saturday.
David Millar also paced himself in the 3000-meter run with an 8:57.77. Millar's time earned him his collegiate best and qualified him for AARTFC and MAC Championships. In the conference he ranks third behind Messiah's Fetter.
In the field,
Alden Littlefield threw a 15.69-meter mark in the shot put to rank him first in the conference. Littlefiled's 15.69-meter throw earned him an AARTFC qualification as well.
Sophomore
Justin Adams also showed his strength in the weight throw by throwing a 15.67-meter mark. Adam's mark qualified him for AARTFC and the MAC. Although not as far as last week's throw, he currently sits at third in the conference two spots behind teammate
Alex Kristeller.
